Many months ago, I was asked if I know a place you can bring raw gemstone crystals to have them cut.
He had 2 raw Topazes from Australia, once found by his dad and wanted to have them turned into earrings for his fiancée.
He had them cut and brought them to me to create this beautiful pair of earrings, inspired by a design I made a while back.
Set in silver with gold drops, these jewels were created to be worn, as a surprise, on her wedding day. Dad had no clue what the gems had become!

They aren't exactly the same shade, but after the cutting the difference is more subtle.
What a difference it makes! Can you imagine finding such stones in a river and think you could make earrings with them? The beauty of gemstones is amazing, and the craft of cutting is really visionary ✨

Ring transformation✨ A white gold ring with a mar

Ring transformation✨

A white gold ring with a marquise cut Diamond, once found. She wore it for many years but never totally felt like hers so it was time to transform it.
We decided to keep the diamond in its prongs, a little reminder of the original design.
The shank was successfully melted (white gold is always tricky and can be impossible to re-use depending on the alloy) but it worked and I was able to make a thin, curved band.
A totally different ring now, and she loves it ✨❤️
Now it's really hers!

I feel this ring isn't getting the love it deserves, but I know it's also a pretty out of the box design and it's not everyone's taste.

She choose this set of 2 rings. An organic silver band and a Citrine ring to wear as a stack.
He wanted a ring in the same spirit, but without little drops. He didn't want a shiny ring so I didn't polish it, but brushed it instead.
The organic bands were first carved in wax, then cast in silver ✨
A token of their love. Not traditional wedding bands, but kind of ❤️‍🔥

This month it's Diamond!
The come in many shades, cuts and sizes ✨
So here's a little brown Diamond ring with gold drops and its jacket ring, made from gold as well with 3 little white ones.
They were created together but could be bought and worn separately. That's up to you!
They are very versatile, you can easily add them to an existing stack or create a new one ✨
