I must admit, they used to look a bit better… After a few years of full-time goldsmithing, they’ve turned into strong little claws. But they’re my favorite tool, and I couldn’t do anything without them. So, a big thank you to my little sausages—I love them very much! ❤️

This ring was made with the birthstones of August

This ring was made with the birthstones of August & January: a peridot and a garnet—but not just any garnet, a tsavorite. Some birthstones come in different colors, which opens up so many possibilities for beautiful combinations.

As a green lover, I was quite pleased that my baby was born in August and my lover in January. But I felt the classic red garnet wasn’t the perfect match next to the peridot. I considered a spessartine garnet, which has a striking orange hue, but I wanted something more timeless. So I went for this deep green tsavorite instead—such a beauty!

Very happy with my new ring!

Fun fact: I wear a lot of jewelry, but most of the pieces I wear never made it to the shop—usually because of broken gems and such. I did make a Mangrove ring for myself from my grandmother’s gold teeth, but it doesn’t fit anymore. It definitely will again someday, so I’m just waiting for that moment to put it back on my finger. ;)
Of course I always wear my Izao signet.. and ok, many years ago I made myself a ring with a grey diamond which I still wear, but I moved it to my pink
I'll tell you about my necklaces and earrings another time ;)
